Do you have an API?
Yes — a REST API with full documentation. Create orders with recipient lists, letter text and custom merge fields, all secured with an API key from your account. Read the API documentation.
Can the API use my custom merge fields?
Yes — up to 15 custom fields per order, the same as the website. Pass your token names and values with the order and they’re written into each letter.
Can I get notified when letters are mailed?
Yes — status changes (processing, in production, mailed) can be pushed to your systems as webhooks, so your CRM knows exactly where every order is.
Is there an extra cost for the API or integrations?
No — orders placed through the API are priced exactly like website orders. Same tiers, same turnaround, same letters.
How do I get an API key?
Generate one from your Real Ink Letters account — the docs page has the walkthrough. Keep it private and rotate it any time.
