Once you check out, your order moves through three statuses – and you get an email at each step. Here is what each one means and what you can still change.
Episode video coming soon – the written guide below has everything you need in the meantime.
What you’ll learn
- What Processing, In Production, and Mailed mean
- The cancellation window, and why writing has one
- Where to watch your order’s progress
Step 1 – Processing
Your order is queued. You can still cancel here for a full refund – the moment before writing begins is the last moment a letter can be un-ordered.
Step 2 – In Production
Your letters are being written in real handwriting. Because every letter is one of a kind, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once writing starts.
Step 3 – Mailed
Written, sealed, stamped, and posted first-class – the same day the writing finished. From here it is in the post office’s hands.
If anything ever goes wrong on our side – an illegible letter, a damaged piece, a letter that does not send – we replace or refund it regardless of status. The full policy is on the refunds and returns page.
