Sir Penman mascot writing a letter with a quill at his desk, from Real Ink Letters

Somewhere between spam filters and “noreply@” addresses, outreach stopped feeling human. We built Real Ink Letters to bring back the one format that never lost its power: a real letter, written in real handwriting, sent to one homeowner. And we built it for one craft above all: real estate farming.

What we’re really about

Open rates. That’s the honest answer. The average email drip is thrilled to see 20% — and farming postcards get glanced at and binned. Meanwhile, a handwritten envelope is the last piece of mail that gets opened by almost everyone who receives it. (Our number: 98%. It’s on our homepage because it’s true.)
We’re not here to replace your funnel. We’re here for the part of farming that actually converts: the follow-up after a listing presentation. The homeowner who met you at an open house. The just-listed and just-sold announcements. The annual check-in that quietly renews the relationship before a competitor’s postcard lands. Those moments are worth more than any ad you’ll ever buy, and they deserve better than another email.
So yes, we write letters. What we really sell is the one touchpoint homeowners can’t filter — arriving at the moment they’re most likely to call you.

Real handwriting. Real machines. Real results.

Hand-writing hundreds of letters by hand doesn’t scale — and “handwritten fonts” are cheap imitations nobody’s fooled by. So we built our own solution: a custom writing machine, driven by software we developed ourselves, that holds an actual pen and writes each letter as a genuine ink original. Then we finish the job the way a person would — folding each letter by hand and affixing a real stamp.

The result is a letter a homeowner can’t dismiss, at a price an agent can actually afford to send to the whole neighborhood. That combination — genuine and scalable — is the whole reason we exist.

What we believe

  • A letter should feel like a gift, not a pitch. Handwriting, a real stamp, and a hand-folded page change how a message is received before it’s even read.
  • Authenticity can’t be faked. That’s why we use real handwriting — not printed cursive. If a homeowner ever held our letter next to a genuinely handwritten note, we want them to see no difference, because there isn’t one: both were written.
  • Your farm is yours. Mailing lists are used to send your letters. Nothing more — never sold, shared, or reused.

Built for real estate farming

Everything we make serves one job: helping you own the neighborhood, one mailbox at a time. Two ways to run a farm mailing. Draw your farm on our map and we count every single-family home inside it, verify who lives there, and quote you a handwritten letter to each one. Or upload your own list — we verify every row and handwrite to every name on it. Your letter, your farm, our ink.

Start small — we mean it

There’s no minimum order. Send one letter to one homeowner and hold the real thing in your own mailbox before you commit to the whole neighborhood. That’s how most of our best farming customers started.
