Home FAQ Turnaround and Delivery

Turnaround and Delivery

How fast letters are written, when they’re posted, and when they land in the neighborhood — including the dating rule that keeps every letter honest.

How long does it take?

Standard orders are written and posted First-Class within 3–4 business days — free. Need it faster? Priority is written and posted the next business day for a 20% surcharge on the writing. Large campaigns are scheduled with you when you order.

What is Priority turnaround?

Priority moves your order to the front of the writing queue: written and posted the next business day, for a 20% surcharge on the writing. Standard — within 3–4 business days — is always free.

What date goes on the letters?

Every letter is dated the day it’s written — and it’s posted that same day. The date your recipients see is always the day their letter was genuinely written and mailed, never the day you placed the order.

Can I track my order?

Yes — we email you at every milestone: when it’s received and processing, when it’s in production, and when it’s mailed. Your order status also lives in My Account.

When will my letters actually land?

Your letters are posted First-Class the day they’re written. USPS typically delivers First-Class Mail within a few days of posting, so most recipients have their letter within about a week of ordering.

What if my order is urgent?

Choose Priority at checkout for next-business-day writing and posting. For anything more unusual — a coordinated drop date, a launch — email hello@realinkletters.com and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.

Do you mail on weekends?

Letters are written and posted on business days — that’s what keeps the dated-and-posted-same-day promise honest. Orders placed on weekends start Monday.

Do you mail internationally?

We currently mail within the United States. International mail is coming — ask us.

What happens to letters that can’t be delivered?

If an address turns out to be undeliverable, the letter comes back to the return address on the envelope — yours — exactly as if you’d mailed it yourself. No phantom delivery claims, ever.
