How It Works

Here’s exactly what happens between “I want to send letters” and your recipient holding one — and why none of it can be faked with a printer.

Step 1: You send us your letter and list

Upload or type your message — a tried-and-true template, or just a rough idea we’ll help you polish. Then upload your recipient list: a name and mailing address for each person.

Want personalization? Drop in merge fields like the recipient’s first name, neighbourhood, or an appointment date, and every letter gets written out individually with those details woven in. One message to a hundred people, or a hundred personal notes — your call.

Step 2: Real ink goes on real paper

This is where we’re different from every “handwritten font” service on the internet. Our letters are written by a custom-built machine holding an actual pen — a machine driven by software we developed ourselves. Real ink. Natural pressure variation. Slight, human irregularities.

Because each letter genuinely is written — not printed — there’s nothing for a recipient to spot. Every one is a one-of-a-kind ink original, and the order form lets you choose your paper and ink options to match the voice of your message. Envelope addresses are handwritten to match the letter.

Step 3: Hand-folded, stamped, and mailed

Every letter is folded by hand, tucked into a handwritten envelope, and finished with a real postage stamp — not a metered indicia that announces “bulk mail” from across the room. Then it’s handed to USPS and on its way to the one place your competitors aren’t fighting over: the mailbox.

What you need to provide

  • Your letter text — or the idea for it, and we’ll help you shape it
  • Your recipient list — name and mailing address for each person
  • Any personalization you want merged into each letter

That’s it. No design skills, no print templates, no trip to the post office.

Turnaround

Orders are typically written, folded, and mailed within a few business days. Larger campaigns are scheduled with you at order time, so you know exactly when your letters land.

What happens to your list

It’s used to write and mail your letters — that’s it. We don’t sell, share, or reuse your data. Your recipients’ information belongs to you and stays yours.
